FIRE PREVENTION COMMON PROGRAMS

School: PLEASE ALLOW 15 MINUTES BETWEEN CLASSES.

Third Grade Call the Fire Department 45 min.
Fourth Grade Planning Your Home Fire Escape 45 min.
Fifth Grade Fire Safety Self-Assessment 45 min.
Sixth Grade Consequences of Fire and Burns 45 min.

Health Care: The facility must agree to allow enough time for the complete presentation of any module chosen. Generally, any module will take approximately one hour to complete with the above-mentioned maximum number of students per instructor

GENERAL FIRE SAFETY: Common causes and ways to prevent fires from occurring in health care facilities and what staff should do in the event of a fire (RACE).
MINIMUM OF 12 - NO MAXIMUM NUMBER
LIFTS AND CARRIES: Staff will learn what to do in the event of a fire (RACE) and practice four different emergency lift and carry techniques to be used for residents in the event of a fire.
MINIMUM OF 12 - NO MORE THAN 25 STUDENTS
FIRE EXTINGUISHER: Staff will learn what to do in the event of a fire (RACE). Staff will also learn the different classes of fires and types of extinguishers, when and when not to fight a fire and each participant must actually put out a fire.
