DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME REMINDER FOR LIQUOR PERMIT HOLDERS
The Ohio Division of Liquor Control is reminding all liquor permit holders that Daylight Saving Time officially begins
in Ohio at 2 A.M. on the second Sunday in March and ends at 2 A.M. on the first Sunday in November.
Spring Ahead:
On the second Sunday in March, when the clocks strike 2 A.M., the time will "spring ahead" and be, in fact, 3 A.M., which
is thirty (30) minutes past the legal closing time for permit holders who are entitled to be open until 2:30 A.M. All sales
and consumption of alcoholic beverages at permit premises must cease prior to 2 A.M., when clocks should be advanced one hour.
Fall Back:
At 2 A.M. on the first Sunday in November, the time will "fall back" and be, in fact, 1 A.M. All clocks should be set
back one hour. Permit holders who are entitled to be open until 2:30 A.M. may continue sales and allow consumption of
alcoholic beverages at their permit premises for an additional hour, until 2:30 A.M.
